AA Sequence of recombinant protein: MRTFPGIPKW RKTHLTYRIV NYTPDLPKDA VDSAVEKALK VWEEVTPLTF SRLYEGEADI MISFAVREHG DFYPFDGPGN VLAHAYAPGP GINGDAHFDD DEQWTKDTTG TNLFLVAAHE IGHSLGLFHS ANTEALMYPL YHSLTDLTRF RLSQDDINGI QSLYGPPPDS PETPLVPTEP VPPEPGTPAN CDPALSFDAV STLRGEILIF KDRHFWRKSL RKLEPELHLI SSFWPSLPSG VDAAYEVTSK DLVFIFKGNQ FWAIRGNEVR AGYPRGIHTL GFPPTVRKID AAISDKEKNK TYFFVEDKYW RFDEKRNSME PGFPKQIAED FPGIDSKIDA VFEEFGFFYF FTGSSQLEFD PNAKKVTHTL KSNSWLNC. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human MMP-3. Anti-Human MMP-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect Human MMP-3 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well), a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human MMP-3 (500-P324) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 2000-4000 pg/mL of Recombinant Human MMP-3. Western Blot: To detect Human MMP-3 by Western Blot analysis, this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. When used in conjunction with compatible development reagents, the detection limit for Recombinant Human MMP-3 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P324BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg
MMP3 (stromelysin-1) belongs to the peptidase M10A subfamily. It is secreted in its pro-protein form, and is activated by extracellular proteinase cleavage. MMP3 is capable of binding to zinc and calcium ions, and has metallo-endopeptidase activity. The active enzyme degrades collagen, gelatin, fibronectin, and laminin. It is involved in normal cellular processes such as wound repair and tissue remodeling. Mutations in the gene can result in coronary heart disease 6.Specifications
