MilliporeSigma™ Mouse anti-M-Ras, Clone: 11F7.1,
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: MilliporeSigma™ MABS1204
Description
Specifically detects M-Ras clone: 11F7.1 in Human samples, and it is validated for Western Blotting
Ras-related protein M-Ras (UniProt O14807; also known as Ras-related protein R-Ras3) is encoded by the MRAS (also known as RRAS3) gene (Gene ID 22808) in human. Originally characterized as a protein that is involved in actin filament reorganization-induced microspikes formation, M-Ras is a Ras superfamily member predominantly expressed in brain and less abundantly in skeletal muscle and heart. M-Ras and Ras share several common effector molecules, and M-Ras is reported to mediate NGF-stimulated ERK pathway signaling by activating B-Raf in PC12 cells. Unlike Ras, however, NGF-stimulation of PC12 cells results in a sustained activation of M-Ras, while only a trarnsient activation is observed with Ras. M-Ras is initially produced in a 208-amino acid proform, the 3 amino acids at the C-terminal end (a.a. 206-208) is removed posttranslationally to yield the mature protein.
