Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Specifically detects TDRD3 clone: 2E11 in Human samples, and it is validated for Western Blotting

Tudor domain-containing protein 3 (UniProt Q9H7E2) is encoded by the TDRD3 gene in human (Entrez Gene ID 81550). TDRD3 belongs to an evolutionarily conserved family of 12 proteins (TDRD1-TDRD12) that contain one or more Tudor domains, which recognize symmetric dimethylarginine (sDMA) residues with the exception of TDRD3. Unlike other TDRD members, TDRD3 associates selectively with asymmetric dimethylarginine (aDMA or Rme2a) on histones and on RNA Polymerase II (RNAP II) C-terminal domain (CTD), but not with other methylarginine motifs. TDRD3 is reported to act as a positive regulator of c-MYC gene transcription by recruiting topoisomerase IIIB (TOP3B) to the c-MYC gene promoter region via H4R3me2a recognition. (PMID 23066109 & 24507716). Anti-TDRD3, clone 2E11, is a purified mouse monoclonal antibody (PMID 21172665) against an epitope within a region in the C-terminal half of all three human TDRD3 spliced isoforms (UniProt Q9H7E2). Clone 2E11 is suitable for Western blotting application (PMID 21172665 & 24507716).
