Description

MA5-17129 targets MSH6 in FACS, ICC, IHC, indirect ELISA, and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The MA5-17129 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human MSH6 expressed in E. Coli. MA5-17129 detects MSH6 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 160kDa.

The DNA mismatch repair MSH2/MSH6 heterodimer is responsible for the detection of DNA damage, and may promote apoptosis in normal cells, thus protecting mammals from ultraviolet-induced malignant transformation and hence the prevention of skin cancer.
