Rabbit anti Mycoplasma pneumoniae recognizes all antigens of Mycoplasma pneumoniae, a bacterium distinguished phenotypically from other bacteria by the lack of a peptidoglycan cell wall. Mycoplasma pneumoniae is a common causative agent of atypical pneumonia in young people. Central nervous system (CNS) manifestations are the most frequent extrapulmonary complications and include encephalitis, aseptic meningitis, cerebellar ataxia, and myelitis. |
