Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

This product is preservative free. It is recommended to add sodium azide to avoid contamination (final concentration 0.05%-0.1%). This antibody has specificity for Human Neurogenin-3/NEUROG3.

Neurog 3 protein contains one basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) domain.It is both necessary and sufficient to induce endocrine islet cell differentiation from embryonic pancreatic progenitors. Not only does itinitiates endocrine cell differentiation, italso promotes islet cell maturation and maintains islet function. It is reported that Neurogenin 3 can redirect the differentiation of bipotential secretory progenitors to endocrine rather than goblet cell fate.
