NFkB p65 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (4-2H22L23), Invitrogen™
Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Thermo Scientific 701079
Description
Intact IgG appears on a non-reducing gel as ∽150 kDa band and upon reduction generating a ∽25 kDa light chain band and a ∽50 kDa heavy chain. Recombit rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombit rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.
NF kappaB p65 belongs to the Rel family of transcription factors. NF kappaB homo and heterodimers are retained in an inert, non-DNA-binding form in the cytosol by inhibitory molecules in most cells. Activation of NF kappaB occurs predomitly through the phosphorylation and degradation of I kappaB proteins. The free NF kappaB translocates to the nucleus, where it upregulates expression from genes involved in developmental processes, cellular growth, apoptosis, and immune and inflammatory responses. In humans, the gene is located on the q arm of chromosome 11.Specifications
