Description

Sheep Polyclonal Antibody

In direct ELISAs, less than 5% cross-reactivity with recombinant rat NLGN1, recombinant human (rh) NLGN2 and rhNLGN3 is observed. Reconstitute at 0.2 mg/mL in sterile PBS. Endoxin level is <0.10 EU per 1 μg of the antibody by the LAL method.

Neuroligin-4, X linked (also known as NLGN4X, NLGN4, Neuroligin-4, and Neuroligin 4X) is a postsynaptic cell-adhesion molecule that interacts with presynaptic cell-surface neurexins. These interactions bridge together the synaptic cleft and have an essential role in synaptic transmissions between neurons. There are 5 neuroligin genes in humans: NLGN1, NLGN2, NLGN3, NLGN4X, and NLGN4Y. Mutations in NLGN3 and NLGN4X are linked to Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD). The expression of neuroligin-4, X-linked has been reported on human pluripotent stem cells.
