PA1-4224 detects NPFF 1 from human samples. PA1-4224 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects an ~45 kDa protein representing NPFF 1 from human brain lysate. The PA1-4224 immunogen is a synthetic peptides corresponding to residues M(1) E G E P S Q P P N S S W P L S(16) and C(418) S H L P L T I P A W D I(430) of human NPFF1.
The central nervous system neuropeptide FF (NPFF), is believed to play a role in pain modulation and opiate tolerance as well as other physiological functions. Two G protein-coupled receptors, NPFF1 and NPFF2, were isolated from the human central nervous system.
