Rat: 96% identity (795/822 amino acids identical). Human: 91% identity (753/822 amino acids identical) ∽50% identity with Neurofascin. 1 μg/mL of MA5-45684 was sufficient for detection of NrCAM in 20 μg of rat brain lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody.∣Detects approximately 160kDa.

Cell adhesion, ankyrin-binding protein involved in neuron-neuron adhesion. May play a role in the molecular assembly of the nodes of Ranvier.
