Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

AA Sequence of recombinant protein: MYAEHKSHRG EYSVCDSESL WVTDKSSAID IRGHQVTVLG EIKTGNSPVK QYFYETRCKE ARPVKNGCRG IDDKHWNSQC KTSQTYVRAL TSENNKLVGW RWIRIDTSCV CALSRKIGRT. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human NT-3. Anti-Human NT-3-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect hNT-3 by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human NT-3 (500-P82G) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hNT-3. Western Blot: To detect hNT-3 by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant hNT-3 is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P82BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg

The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the neurotrophin family, that controls survival and differentiation of mammalian neurons. This protein is closely related to both nerve growth factor and brain-derived neurotrophic factor. It may be involved in the maintenance of the adult nervous system, and may affect development of neurons in the embryo when it is expressed in human placenta. NTF3-deficient mice generated by gene targeting display severe movement defects of the limbs. The mature peptide of this protein is identical in all mammals examined including human, pig, rat and mouse.
