Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody

This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Horse, Pig. Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

Protein NUMB homolog is an evolutionarily conserved protein that controls the differentiation of neuronal progenitor cells. Recent studies have revealed that NUMB functions in clathrin-dependent endocytosis by binding to the AP-2 complex. NUMB is also expressed in postmitotic neurons and plays a role in axonal growth. Neural cells expressing Numb isoforms with short phosphotyrosine-binding (SPTB) domain undergo extensive neurite outgrowth, an effect that can be blocked by voltage-gated Ca2+ channel (VGCC) inhibitor or by Ca2+ chelator.
