Invitrogen™ Olaquindox metabolite Monoclonal Antibody (1A11)
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ MA549674
Description
Antibody tested in indirect ELISA.
Olaquindox is a veterinary drug used to promote growth in livestock such as pigs and chickens. It has been banned in many countries due to its potential health risks to humans, including the potential for the development of antibiotic-resistant bacteria. Olaquindox is metabolized in the body into several different compounds, including 2-acetyl-1-methylimidazo[4,5-f]quinolone (AMIQ). AMIQ has been shown to be genotoxic, meaning it can damage DNA and potentially cause cancer.
