Kaiso is a novel member of the BTB/POZ (Broad complex, Tramtrak, Bric a brac/Pox virus and zinc finger) zinc finger superfamily of transcription factors. Yeast 2-hybrid studies have shown that Kaiso interacts with catenin p120ctn. This interaction involves the Arm repeats of 1-7 of the p120ctn Armadillo domain and the carboxyl-terminal third of Kaiso. The significance of the Kaiso:p120 ctn interaction is still unknown.Specifications
