Description
This antibody is predicted to react with bovine, chicken, amphibian, mouse and rat based on sequence homology. Heat-mediated antigen retrieval is recommended prior to staining, using a 10mM citrate buffer, pH 6.0, for 10 minutes followed by cooling at room temperature for 20 min. Following antigen retrieval, incubate samples with primary antibody for 10 min at room temperature. A suggested positive control is tonsil tissue.
Poly ADP-Ribose Polymerase (PARP) uses nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide (oxidized form) NAD as a substrate to catalyse the transfer of ADP-ribose to a variety of nuclear protein acceptors. Proteolysis of PARP to its stable 85kDa fragment is an early marker of programmed cell death (apoptosis) and is mediated by the caspase CPP32 protein. Cleavage occurs between Adp216 and Gly217, a site in PARP conserved across species.Specifications
