Phospho-Arhgap22 (Ser397)Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse, Rat, Polyclonal, Rockland™

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Rockland Immunochemicals 600401J12

Description
Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. Anti-ARHGAP22 pS397 is specific for phosphorylated ARHGAP22 at Serine 397. It also recognizes the S22->A mutation but not the S397->A mutation. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Mouse, Rat and Human based on 100% sequence homology. Cross-reactivity with ARHGAP22 pS397 from other sources has not been determined.
GTPase-activating proteins (GAPs) accelerate the intrinsic rate of GTP hydrolysis of Ras-related proteins, resulting in down regulation of their active form. ARHGAP22 (Rho GTPase activating protein 22), also known as RHOGAP2, is a 698 amino acid protein that localizes to the cytoplasm, and contains one Rho-GAP domain and one PH domain. ARHGAP22 functions as a GTPase-activating protein for Rac 1 converting it to an inactive GDP-bound state and, through its interaction with ZNF161 (VEZF1), is thought to be useful in transcription regulation. Multiple isoforms of ARHGAP22 exist due to alternative splicing events.Specifications
