Invitrogen™ Phospho-CrkL (Tyr207) Recombinant Superclonal™ Antibody (4HCLC)
Rabbit Recombinant Superclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ 711850

Description
This antibody is predicted to react with Monkey, Cat, Horse, Mouse. Recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibodies are unique offerings from Thermo Fisher Scientific. They are comprised of a selection of multiple different recombinant monoclonal antibodies, providing the best of both worlds - the sensitivity of polyclonal antibodies with the specificity of monoclonal antibodies - all delivered with the consistency only found in a recombinant antibody. While functionally the same as a polyclonal antibody - recognizing multiple epitope sites on the target and producing higher detection sensitivity for low abundance targets - a recombinant rabbit Superclonal™ antibody has a known mixture of light and heavy chains. The exact population can be produced in every lot, circumventing the biological variability typically associated with polyclonal antibody production. Note: Formerly called Recombinant polyclonal antibody, this product is now rebranded as Recombinant Superclonal™ antibody. The physical product and the performance remain unchanged.
The CRKL gene encodes the CRK-like protein, an adaptor protein that plays a crucial role in intracellular signaling pathways related to cell proliferation, differentiation, and migration. CRKL contains SH2 and SH3 domains that facilitate interactions with other signaling molecules, influencing multiple pathways such as the MAPK, PI3K, and STAT pathways. It is involved in processes like cytoskeleton reorganization and immune cell signaling, with significant implications for development and cancer. CRKL is notably associated with Philadelphia chromosome-positive leukemias, where it interacts with the BCR-ABL fusion protein, contributing to leukemogenesis. Additionally, dysregulation of CRKL can affect cardiovascular development, leading to congenital heart defects. Research into CRKL focuses on understanding its role in signal transduction and its potential as a therapeutic target due to its involvement in oncogenic and developmental pathways.
