Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody

This antibody is predicted to react with Dog, Rabbit, Pig, Mouse, Rat, Bovine and Goat. Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

IKK alpha/beta is encoded by CHUK (conserved helix-loop-helix ubiquitous kinase) and IKKB (inhibitor of kappa light polypeptide gene enhancer in B-cells) gene located in chromosome 10 and 8 respectively in humans. Upon stimulation by agents that activate the NF-kB pathway such as TNF alpha, the two subunits of IKK complex, IKK alpha and IKK -beta alongside a regulator NEMO (IKK gamma) phosphorylates IkB proteins. This targets the later for ubiquitin mediated degradation and phosphorylation of NF-kB leading to subsequent translocation to the nucleus. Phosphorylation at serine 176 and 180 located in the activation loop causes a confirmation change that is required for the activation of the kinases.
