Invitrogen™ Phospho-NMDAR2B (Tyr1472) Polyclonal Antibody

Description
PA1-86558 specifically recognizes the 180 kDa NR2B subunit of the NMDA (N-methyl-D-aspartate) receptor when phosphorylated at Tyr1472. Predicted to react with bovine, chicken, dog, human, monkey, mouse and zebrafish based on sequence homology. For the detection of phosphoproteins, tyrosine phosphatase inhibitors such as 1mM sodium orthovanadate should be added to the sample buffer. Milk or other casein-based blocking solutions are not recommended as casein is a phosphoprotein and its use can result in high background. In Western blot, this antibody detects a band at ~180 kDa in rat brain hippocampal lysate. In Western blot, this antibody also labels proteins of 65kDa and 115kDa.
