Invitrogen™ Phospho-RNA pol II CTD (Ser2) Monoclonal Antibody (3E10), eBioscience™

Description
Description: This 3E10 monoclonal antibody recognizes a specific phosphorylated form of RNA polymerase II subunit B1 (RPB1). It detects phosphorylated serine at amino acid position 2 (Ser2) within the C-terminal heptapeptide (YSPTSPS) repeats of RPB1. Modifications within the C-terminal domain (CTD) of RPB1 recruit RNA processing factors that govern the transcription cycle; phosphorylation at Ser2 is associated with transcriptional elongation. The 3E10 immunogen was an ovalbumin-conjugated peptide corresponding to human RPB1 CTD phosphorylated at Ser2 (YS(p)PTSPSYSPTSPSC). Applications Reported: This 3E10 antibody has been reported for use in western blot and immunocytochemistry. Applications Tested: This 3E10 antibody has been tested by western blot of human, mouse, and rat cell lysates and immunocytochemistry of human cell lines. This may be used at less than or equal to 2.0 μg/mL for western blot and less than or equal to 1.25 μg/mL for immunocytochemistry.
