- Produce polyurethane foam with the condensation reaction of a polyisocyanate and a hydroxyl-containing material (i.e., a polyol derived from propylene oxide).
- Mix two viscous liquids to initiate a reaction.
- Lightweight foam expands to 30 times the original volume of the liquids.
- After about 10 minutes, the foam hardens.
- Perform in a fume hood and wear chemical splash goggles, apron and gloves as the chemical components are eye and skin irritants.
