Description

Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

MA5-17153 targets POU3F2 in indirect ELISA and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human samples. The MA5-17153 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human POU3F2 (amino acids: 214-362) expressed in E. Coli. MA5-17153 detects POU3F2 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 46.9kDa.

This gene encodes a member of the POU-III class of neural transcription factors. The encoded protein is involved in neuronal differentiation and enhances the activation of corticotropin-releasing hormone regulated genes. Overexpression of this protein is associated with an increase in the proliferation of melanoma cells.
