Invitrogen™ PTCH2 Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ PA14135
Description
PA1-4135 detects Patched 2 (PTCH2) in human and mouse samples. PA1-4135 has been successfully used in Western blot procedures. By Western blot this antibody detects a ~158 kDa protein representing PTCH2 in fetal brain lysate. The PA1-4135 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues G(226) P F A S L E G F R(235) of human PTCH2.
Mutations of the human Patched tumor suppressor gene (PTCH) have been identified in individuals with the nevoid basal cell carcinoma syndrome (NBCCS) as well as in sporadic basal cell carcinomas and medulloblastomas. PTCH2 has a frameshift mutation resulting in a truncated PTCH2 protein.
