Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Baboon, Monkey (100%); Galago, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Hamster, Rabbit, Pig, Armadillo (93%); Dog, Panda, Horse (86%). For IHC(P), use heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

This gene encodes a muscle enzyme involved in glycogenolysis. Highly similar enzymes encoded by different genes are found in liver and brain. Mutations in this gene are associated with McArdle disease (myophosphorylase deficiency), a glycogen storage disease of muscle. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
