Description

Affordable fluorescence microscopy on any microscope

The QBC ParaLens Advance is a microscope attachment that utilizes a durable, long-lasting LED light source to provide fluorescence capabilities to any light microscope. The light source can be powered by an AC to DC power pack, a solar powered battery pack, a USB port or other convenient power source.

Upgrades and Replacement Parts

  • ParaLens Advance Main Body: body without objective or filter set arm; includes RMS threaded connector and locking ring
  • Available objectives: 20X (Dry), 40X (Dry), 60X (Oil), 100X (Oil)
  • Filter Set Arm (blue): includes all filters required for the ParaLens Advance to provide blue (∽385-480nm) fluorescence light; Patent-pending design allows for easy interchangeability when switching between objectives
  • Advance LED Light Source (blue): light source attachment for use with the ParaLens Advance; produces blue light (∽410-511nm) for use with blue filter set arm; features durable construction for safe portability and long lamp life of approximately 20,000 hours; Note: does not include ParaLens Advance Power Pack (427711)
  • Advance Power Pack: AC to DC power pack operates at 100-240 VAC/47-63 Hz and includes complete set of international plug adapters
Accessories and Consumables
  • RMS to M27 Ring Adapter: allows ParaLens Advance to attach to microscopes with M27 objective thread size, including Zeiss microscopes
  • RMS to M25 Ring Adapter: allows the ParaLens Advance to attach to microscopes with M25 objective thread size, including Leica microscopes
  • RMS to M25 + 15mm Ring Adapter: allows the ParaLens Advance to attach to microscopes with M25 + 15mm objective thread size, including Nikon microscopes
  • RMS to M32 Adapter: allows the ParaLens Advance to attach to microscopes with M32 objective thread size, including Motic microscopes
  • Immersion Oil (Type B): 30mL bottle of immersion oil, is needed for using the ParaLens Advance with 60X and 100X lenses
  • QBC ParaViewer (Clear): clear plastic capillary tube holder, used to review the QBC Malaria Test on a microscope stage
  • QBC Workstation: sturdy plastic workstation that can be used to hold 100 tubes of varying sizes, including QBC Malaria Tubes

  • Upgrade Kit allows users of the ParaLens fiber optic light source to upgrade to the high-quality LED fluorescence enjoyed by users of the QBC ParaLens Advance
  • Includes the ParaLens Advance LED light source (427751) and the Advance power pack (including international plug adapters, 427711)
