Description

Designed to isolate hematopoietic non-lineage committed cells (lineage-negative) from mouse bone marrow

Resulting cell population is highly enriched for CD117+ cells (from 40-70% depending on mouse strain) with less than 5% residual lineage positive cells
Isolated HSCs are untouched by beads or antibodies
Negative selection reduces sources of experimental variation
Lineage committed cells (lineage positive) targeted for magnetic depletion include T cells, B cells, NK cells, monocytes/macrophages, granulocytes, and erythrocytes
