Hepatocyte nuclear factor 6 (UniProt Q9UBC0; also known as HNF-6, One cut domain family member 1, One cut homeobox 1) is a nucleus protein encoded by the ONECUT1 (also known as HNF6, HNF6A) gene (Entrez Gene ID 3175) in human. HNF-6 is a member of the Cut homeobox family of transcription factors. HNF-6 is highly expressed in the liver, where it regulates the expression of targets genes.
