Test Specificity This antibody reacts with mouse IRP2 protein. Inital results have shown poor reactivity against human protein. The immunogen used for this antibody production has 94% homology with human and rat proteins. Rabbit Polyclonal to IRP2 By Western blot a band at ∼105 KDa is seen. Note that in brain lysates it has been reported that IRP2 appears to be degraded by low concentrations of free iron. Addition of 50 uM deferoxamine to the lysis buffer to chelate free iron appears to prevent this degradation.
