Description
The PPAN-P2RY11 mRNA is a naturally occurring read-through product, a result of intergenic splicing between adjacent genes, PPAN and P2RY11. The encoded fusion protein comprises of sequence sharing identity with each individual gene product. This transcript is found to be ubiquitously expressed and is upregulated by agents inducing granulocytic differentiation. However, its functional significance in vivo remains unclear.
