Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Specifically detects PRDM1 in Human samples, and it is validated for Western Blotting

PR domain zinc finger protein 1 (also known as Beta-interferon gene positive regulatory domain I-binding factor, BLIMP-1, Positive regulatory domain I-binding factor 1, PRDI-BF1, PRDI-binding factor 1, PR domain-containing protein 1) is a transcriptional repressor encoded by the PRDM1 gene (or BLIMP1; Entrez Gene ID 639) in human. PRDM1/PLIMP1 protein silences target genes expression collaboratively with several chromatin-modifying enzymes as co-repressors, including histone deacetylases HDAC1/2, lysine methyltransferase G9a, protein arginine methyltransferase PRMT5, lysine-specific demethylase LSD1, as well as Groucho/Transducin-Like Enhancer of split (Gro/TLE) family of co-repressors. Prdm1/Blimp-1 contains an N-terminal PR/SET domain, a central proline- and serine-rich region, and 5 carboxy-terminal zinc fingers.
