Specifically detects UFD1L in Human samples, and it is validated for Immunocytochemistry, Immunohistochemistry

UFD1L is an essential component of the ubiquitin dependent proteolytic pathway which degrades ubiquitin fusion proteins. UFD1L is part of the three protein complex of UFD1L, VCP and NPLOC4 that binds ubiquitinated proteins and is necessary for the export of misfolded proteins from the ER to the proteasome. The complex also regulates spindle disassembly during mitosis and plays an important role in ectoderm development as well. In the adult UFD1L is widely expressed but highest levels are in heart, skeletal muscle, and pancreas.
