Invitrogen™ Rhodopsin Monoclonal Antibody (1D4), PerCP

Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ MA545249
Description
1 μg/mL of MA5-45249 was sufficient for detection of rhodopsin in 10 μg of rat eye lysate by colorimetric immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 40kDa. Recognizes Rhodopsin (native and recombinant forms). No known reactivity to other proteins. Binds specifically to the C-terminal epitope -T-E-T-S-Q-V-A-P-A-(COOH).
Visual pigments such as rhodopsin and porphyropsin are light-absorbing molecules that mediate vision. Rhodopsin consists of an apoprotein, opsin, covalently linked to 11-cis-retinal. This receptor is coupled to the activation of phospholipase C. Porphyropsin consists of opsin covalently linked to 11-cis 3,4-didehydroretinal.
