Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. This protein A purified antibody is directed against human RNF34 protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with RNF34 protein from orangutan (99%), bovine (91%), dog (89%), mouse (88%) and rat (85%) based on a high degree of protein:protein homology with the immunizing sequence. Expect reactivity with isoform 1 and 2 of RNF34. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.

The protein encoded by this gene contains a RINF finger, a motif known to be involved in protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions. This protein interacts with DNAJA3/hTid-1, which is a DnaJ protein reported to function as a modulator of apoptosis. Overexpression of this gene in Hela cells was shown to confer the resistance to TNF-alpha induced apoptosis, suggesting an anti-apoptotic function of this protein. This protein can be cleaved by caspase-3 during the induction of apoptosis. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been reported.
