Description

Description

Description: This 1A6 monoclonal antibody recognizes hemagglutinin-neuraminidase of Sendai virus. This clone has been successfully used in flow cytometry, immunocytochemistry and has been reported for neutralization. The CTS CytoTune-iPS 2.1 Sendai Reprogramming Kit and the CytoTune-iPS 2.0 Sendai Reprograming Kit utilize Sendai virus particles to deliver Yamanaka factors into target cells in order to reprogram them into induced Pluripotent Stem Cells (iPSC). Clone 1A6 can be used to detect the presence of the residual Sendai virus after transduction and subsequent tissue culture. Applications Reported: This 1A6 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This 1A6 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of Sendai virus-infected cells. This may be used at less than or equal to 0.06 μg per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Excitation: 488-561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue Laser, Green Laser, Yellow-Green Laser

Sendai virus is a single stranded RNA respirovirus from the family Paramyxoviridae, which replicates in the respiratory tract and infects certain mammals, including mice, hamsters, rats and guinea pigs. The virus is highly contagious and in the wild is transmitted through contact with aerosolized respiratory secretions. The Hemagglutinin-Neuraminidase (HN) protein of the Sendai virus facilitates cell entry and infection by binding and cleaving terminal sialic acids present on many cell surface glycoproteins.
