Description

Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human, Baboon, Monkey, Galago, Bat, Bovine, Dog, Elephant, Panda, Rabbit, Pig (100%); Marmoset, Mouse, Hamster, Armadillo (94%); Shrew (89%); Rat (83%). For IHC(P), use heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen.

Prevents intracellular accumulation of high concentrations of myo-inositol (an osmolyte) that result in impairment of cellular function.
