Invitrogen™ SLC5A5 Monoclonal Antibody (FP5), APC
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ MA545492
Description
1 μg/mL of MA5-45492 was sufficient for detection of hNIS in 20 μg of transfected COS-7 cell membrane lysate by ECL immunoblot analysis using Goat anti-mouse IgG:HRP as the secondary antibody. Detects approximately 97kDa, non-glycosylated version at 68kDa. Other minor bands associated with hNIS at 160kDa, and degradation products at approximately 30 kDa, and approximately 15kDa.
Human Sodium Iodide Symporter (hNIS) is responsible for iodide concentrating ability within thyroid follicular cells. It is a membrane bound glycoprotein with 13 membrane spanning domains and 14 extramembranous domains. It may represent an autoantigen in thyroid.
