Description

Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

Product is supplied at 1 mL (100 μL/mL). Application Notes: IHC-P - Specimen was fixed in 4% formalin for 4h. Paraffin sections (4 μm) were deparifinized, rehydrated and blocked with normal serum. Optional antigen retrieval with citrate buffer. Section was incubated with 5 μg/mL mAb. Immunoassay - This antibody can be used as coat and detection antibody. IHC-F - Permeabilization was done in cold acetone with 0.5% hydrogen peroxidase for 10 min, after drying and washing, antibodies were incubated for 30 minutes.

SLPI is a secreted inhibitor which protects epithelial tissues from serine proteases. It is found in various secretions including seminal plasma, cervical mucus, and bronchial secretions, and has affinity for trypsin, leukocyte elastase, and cathepsin G. Its inhibitory effect contributes to the immune response by protecting epithelial surfaces from attack by endogenous proteolytic enzymes; the protein is also thought to have broad-spectrum anti-biotic activity.
