For IHC applications, this antibody reacts with isolates fixed by phenol, formalin and boiling. Mouse anti methicillin resistant Staphylococcus aureus antibody, clone 332/43 recognizes methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), also known as oxacillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (ORSA).

Staphylococcus aureus is a type of bacteria that commonly lives on the skin and in the nasal passages of healthy individuals. However, it can also cause a range of infections, from minor skin infections to more serious conditions such as pneumonia, sepsis, and endocarditis.
