Invitrogen™ Stathmin 1 Recombinant Rabbit Monoclonal Antibody (RM350)
Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ MA533064
Description
Specificity: reacts to human Stathmin. It may also react to mouse or rat Stathmin, as predicted by immunogen homology. Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.
Stathmin 1 belongs to the stathmin family of genes. It encodes a ubiquitous cytosolic phosphoprotein proposed to function as an intracellular relay integrating regulatory signals of the cellular environment. Stathmin 1 is involved in the regulation of the microtubule filament system by destabilizing microtubules. It prevents assembly and promotes disassembly of microtubules. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
