Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

These Polyclonal antibodies are of rabbit origin developed by immunizing animals with proteins or peptides. The polyclonal antibody is purified by affinity purification from the rabbit sera generated after immunizing the rabbits with a specific type of protein or peptide. Hepatocyte Nuclear Factor 1 (HNF1, Homeoprotein LFB3, Transcription factor 2, TCF2, Variant hepatic nuclear factor) is a member of the homeodomain-containing superfamily of transcription factors. It is a liver-specific factor of the homeobox-containing basic helix-turn-helix family. The protein binds to DNA as either a homodimer, or a heterodimer with the related protein hepatocyte nuclear factor 1-alpha. HNF1has been shown to function in nephron development and regulates development of the embryonic pancreas. Mutations in the gene result in renal cysts and diabetes syndrome and noninsulin-dependent diabetes mellitus, and expression of the gene is altered in some types of cancer. Multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
