Goat Polyclonal Antibody

Additional Information: This antibody is expected to recognize reported isoform 1 (NP_000360.2) and isoform 2 (NP_001018046.1). The immunizing peptide sequence corresponds to a part of the extracellular domain. This antibody is tested in Peptide ELISA: antibody detection limit dilution 1:16,000.

TSH Receptor gene is a membrane protein and a major controller of thyroid cell metabolism. The encoded protein is a receptor for thyrothropin and thyrostimulin, and its activity is mediated by adenylate cyclase. Defects in this gene are a cause of several types of hyperthyroidism. Three transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
