Description

Mouse Monoclonal Antibody

MA5-17193 targets TUBA8 in indirect ELISA, FACS, ICC, IHC, IF and WB applications and shows reactivity with Human and Rat samples. The MA5-17193 immunogen is purified recombinant fragment of human TUBA8 expressed in E. Coli. MA5-17193 detects TUBA8 which has a predicted molecular weight of approximately 50kDa.

This gene encodes a member of the alpha tubulin protein family. Alpha tubulins are one of two core protein families (alpha and beta tubulins) that heterodimerize and assemble to form microtubules. Mutations in this gene are associated with polymicrogyria and optic nerve hypoplasia. Alternate splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
