Goat Polyclonal Antibody

Store vial at -20°C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20°C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4°C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use. This affinity-purified antibody is directed against human UBC13 protein. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross reactivity with UBC13 protein from a broad range of sources including human, dog, bovine, Xenopus laevis, Xenopus tropicalis, , zebrafish, rat, mouse, chimpanzee, macaque and chicken based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.

Anti-Ubc13 is a monoclonal antibody specific to the ∼19 kDa Ubc13 protein. Ubc13 is a ubiquitin conjugating enzyme that is complexed with a ubiquitin activating enzyme (E1), Mms2. The association of Mms2 to Ubc13 forms an active heterodimer that is involved in error-free post replicative DNA repair in yeast. Upon complexing with another conjugating enzyme variant, Uev1a, Ubc13 participates in the regulation of NF-kB signal transduction pathway in humans.
