Description

Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Positive Control - IHC: human pancreatic cancer tissue, rat pancreas tissue, rat intestine tissue, mouse pancreas tissue, mouse intestine tissue. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

VIP encodes a protein that belongs to the glucagon family. It stimulates myocardial contractility, causes vasodilation, increases glycogenolysis, lowers arterial blood pressure and relaxes the smooth muscle of trachea, stomach and gall bladder. Alternative splicing occurs at this locus and two transcript variants encoding distinct isoforms have been identified.
