The ZCCHC4 gene encodes zinc finger CCHC domain-containing protein 4, a member of the zinc finger CCHC-type (ZCCHC) superfamily characterized by a consensus sequence C-X2-C-X4-H-X4-C. This gene plays a vital role in binding single-stranded nucleic acids, particularly RNAs, and is involved in multiple cellular processes.
