Designed for mammalian suspension culture applications as well as bacterial and yeast culture. Available with either vent or solid cap to prevent common mistakes made with combination caps such as sealing the cap completely and preventing gas exchange. Vent caps with over-sized vent area feature 0.22¿m hydrophobic membrane which allows for improved gas exchange without contamination. Avoid contamination with single-use, pre-sterilized flasks. Manufactured from medical grade virgin PETG which reduces gas permeability. Lightweight material is easier to handle than glass. Bottles include molded graduation lines. Individually bagged for easy storage and handling. RNase/DNase free and non-pyrogenic. Every case is printed with the lot number for quality traceability. Individually packed sterile, 12/case.

MTC Bio’s Erlenmeyer Shaker Flasks are made of polycarbonate, PETG, or styrene/butadiene (Jumbo Flasks only). The polypropylene screw caps are vented with 0.2µm membranes to increase air transmission and enhance cell growth. The mouth size conforms with international SBS standards, for quick, secure connection to bioreactor equipment. Polycarbonate Flasks and Jumbo Flasks have baffled (ribbed) bottoms to provide increased oxygenation and mixing efficiency, even at lower shaking speeds. All flasks, regardless of size or material are individually wrapped and gamma sterilized to SAL 10-6, and are free of RNase, DNase, pyrogen m endotoxins and human DNA.

Baffled interior bottoms provide a swirl diruption/break which improves the aeration of the culture. This feature can be beneficial to use when the cultures' oxygen requirements are high or viscous.
