Sep-Pak Alumina A Plus Long cartridges feature highly active, acidic alumina, offering an extremely polar surface for analyte retention and functioning as a Lewis acid. This normal phase sorbent provides greater stability than unfunctionalized silica under high pH conditions and acts as a low-capacity ion exchanger in aqueous media. Unaffected by high-energy radioactivity, they are suitable for radioactive compound isolation. Cartridges easily attach to pumps and syringes for positive-pressure flow or integrate with vacuum-assisted systems and automated platforms via removable reservoirs. The acidic alumina also uniquely interacts with aromatic compounds.
