"Silica XHL" is a standard grade Silica 60 with a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, and particle size of 5-17um. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. This analytical extra hard layer is bound to a glass support. It has a thickness of 250um and dimensions of 2.5x7.5cm. There are 500 plates per pack. The layer has an outstanding hardness and is abrasion resistant due to an optimized binder system. The plate can be easily labeled with a lead pencil for clear identification. There is an increased separation efficiency due to an optimized particle size distribution. The UV254 fluorescent indicator has an increased brilliance and a low-noise background which results in a high suitability for trace analyses.

This thin layer chromatography (TLC) plate comprises a C18-W (Wettable) Silica layer. It can be used in both normal phase or reversed phase separations with eluents from anhydrous solvents to mixtures with high concentrations of water. The relative polarity of the eluent determines the polarity of the layer. The Silica 60 has a surface area of 500 m2/g, mean pore size of 60A, specific pore volume of 0.75 ml/g, particle size of 2-10um, and pH stability of 2-10. The TLC plates contain UV254 fluorescent indicator. The UV-absorbing substances appear as dark-blue to black spots on a light - blue background. This analytical layer is bound to a glass support. It has a thickness of 250um and dimensions of 10x0cm. There are 25 plates per pack. The Silica XG TLC Plate has outstanding wettability for precise colorization results, even with 100% aqueous detection reagents, and excellent separation efficiency and reproducibility from lot to lot. Cutting the plates is easy and reliable due to an optimized binder system. There is no flaking of silica gel layer. Binder: highly polymeric product, which is stable in almost all organic solvents and resistant towards aggressive visualization reagents; also completely stable in purely aqueous eluents.
