XTerra Preparative RP18 columns are hybrid-based, reversed-phase C18 columns that incorporate Waters patented embedded polar group technology to improve peak shape performance for highly basic compounds. These first generation columns provide superior pH stability compared to a silica-based column. This product needs to be used in conjunction with other parts. Waters Corp XTerra MS C18 Prep Guard Cartridge, 125Å, 10 μm
XTerra Prep columns incorporate Hybrid Particle Technology for isolation and purification applications in discovery and development labs. Engineered for preparative use, they allow routine operation at pH 1 to 12, enabling up to 60 times more loading onto the column. This increases capacity, reducing injections and providing more material. Shorter columns can produce the same amount of material in half the time. This guard cartridge protects prep columns from contaminants and extends column lifetimes; a separate cartridge holder is required for proper installation.

This complete column set is made with Victrex PEEK and we add graphite to achieve the black color of the 1/2" OD Column Tube, which is not treated with any chemicals. The polished interior is achieved through a very careful, proprietary, extrusion method.
