Biotage Sfär Silica High Capacity 20 μm is the choice when you need to run the best possible separation with the smallest column and greenest amount of solvent. This 50g high capacity column has the separation capacity of a 100g standard capacity column.Sfär means “Sphere” in the Swedish mother tongue of Biotage, and is the name for our columns as they contain spherical silica with higher surface area compared to irregular silica. Which means you use a smaller column with tight elution bands and pure fractions.Sfär columns are quality tested to ensure they meet stringent performance criteria, including efficiency and peak symmetry. Each CE-marked column is created using inert, food grade plastics for lower extractables, cleaner fractions, and packed to provide excellent resolution. Column is constructed using MEDIUM WALL TUBING. Can be used as a gravity eluted column or a flash column (as described by W.C. Still, M. Kahn and A. Mitra of Columbia University in JOURNAL OF ORGANIC CHEMISTRY 43, 2923 [1978], and covered in U.S. Patent Number 4,293,422 dated October 6, 1981) when used with optional CG-1195 flow controller and CG-1194 reservoir. Column is supplied complete with a CG-182 open top cap and o-ring.

Purity™ Flash Cartridges are superior because they are packed with Premium Rf™ Silica Gel. The porosity is 60A, particle distribution is 20-45um, bed mass is 40g, and quantity is 12/pk. Sorbtech's packing technique & Premium Rf's narrow particle distribution results in a uniform packed bed. The benefits are no channeling, higher resolution, decrease in backpressure, faster flow, and faster run time. Additionally, the small pore volume allows for more silica gel per column volume leading to greater loadability and less solvent use. Finally, the high purity silica gel (minimal surface metals) reduces mixed-mode interactions (no peak tailing or resolution loss). The polypropylene cartridge has standard luer-lock end fittings and is spin-welded (leak-free) allowing higher pressures up to 400 psi. The cartridges are compatible with all flash chromatography systems.

Thomson Instrument Company SINGLE StEP Empty Columns (patented) are available in a wide range of sizes that allow for seamless connection to FPLC/LPLC/MPLC systems. These columns are designed for use with Gravity or FPLC/LPLC/MPLC (up to 200 PSI) in sizes that range from 10mL-650mL (4g – 300g). Both top & bottom connections are standard Luer fittings. Thomson also offers a 1.2L resin reservoir that simplifies column loading. The 1.2L reservoir screws directly to the top of 25g, 40g and 80g SINGLE StEP Empty Columns for easy loading of buffers, solvents and samples to minimize contamination and sample loss.
